Survey & GIS mapping
Scoping surveys for protected species can be carried out: this will assess the potential of the site to support protected species and will identify any need for more detailed surveys.
Habitat surveys can be carried out, including structural features and significant ground- or water-levels. Laser and Thales Mobilemapper CE GPS equipment are used for detailed work. GIS is used to interpret and present the recorded information in mapped form and, where possible, by relationship to aerial photographs. |
Management plans
Experienced in the production of management plans for specific projects or for ongoing habitat management. Project examples might include the rehabilitation and dredging of a derelict lake or the enhancement of a watercourse and installation of hatches. Habitat examples include a plan for ancient woodland or heathland.
We have carried out a number of Farm Environment Plans (FEPs) and have made successful applications for Natural England's Higher Level Environmental Stewardship (HLS) scheme.

Project & contract management
Over 15 years experience drawing up specifications and contract documents; carrying out competitive tendering; assessment of contractor suitability; health and safety risk assessment, contract supervision and management: all elements are carried out to ensure best value.
Nature conservation works cross many contracting disciplines: careful planning ensures the right mix of skills is identified and on site at the right time. We have employed a wide range of contractors, equipment and techniques for forestry, wetland, riverine, heathland and translocation projects.
